Enforcement Policy

The following products and services are strictly prohibited on the Popup platform. Violation may result in immediate account suspension, fund holds, and legal action as required by Indian law.

Prohibited Categories

1. Regulated Substances

Tobacco and tobacco-related products
Alcoholic beverages
Narcotics, drugs, and drug paraphernalia
Psychoactive substances and supplements
Prescription medications and controlled substances

2. Weapons and Dangerous Items

Firearms, ammunition, and explosives
Knives, swords, and martial arts weapons (restricted)
Pepper spray, tasers, and self-defense weapons
Fireworks and explosive materials

3. Adult and Explicit Content

Pornographic or sexually explicit materials
Adult toys and sexual wellness products (restricted)
Escort services or sexual services
Content violating the IT Act 2000 or POCSO Act

4. Counterfeit and Infringing Goods

Counterfeit branded products
Replica or knock-off items
Pirated software, media, or digital content
Products violating intellectual property rights
Unauthorized use of trademarks or copyrights

5. Financial and Investment Schemes

Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid schemes
Cryptocurrency trading or unregulated financial services
Get-rich-quick schemes or investment fraud
Unlicensed financial advice or securities
Ponzi schemes or chit funds

6. Illegal Services

Hacking, cracking, or DDoS services
Academic dishonesty services (essay mills, exam cheating)
Fake documents, IDs, or credentials
Spam, phishing, or malware services
Money laundering or tax evasion services

7. Protected Wildlife and Animal Products

Endangered species or parts thereof
Ivory, tiger products, or protected animal parts
Live animals (unless properly licensed)
Products violating the Wildlife Protection Act 1972

8. Hazardous Materials

Toxic or radioactive materials
Biohazards or infectious substances
Flammable or corrosive chemicals
Asbestos or carcinogenic materials

9. Gambling and Betting

Online gambling services
Sports betting or wagering
Lottery tickets (unlicensed)
Casino or gaming services (unless state-licensed)

10. Offensive and Hateful Content

Content promoting hate speech or discrimination
Nazi or extremist memorabilia
Products glorifying violence or terrorism
Content violating Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 153A, 295A

11. Medical Devices and Health Products (Restricted)

Medical devices requiring licenses (unless properly certified)
Unapproved health supplements or "miracle cures"
Products making false medical claims
Unapproved treatments or fake cures

12. Stolen or Suspicious Goods

Stolen property or goods with unclear provenance
Recalled or unsafe products
Lock-picking tools or burglary equipment
Government or military restricted items

Payment Gateway Compliance

Popup uses Razorpay and other payment gateways that have their own prohibited product policies. Selling restricted items may result in:

Payment processing disruptions
Fund holds or account freezes
Permanent account termination
Legal liability for both seller and platform

Seller Responsibility

Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring their products comply with:

Indian laws (IPC, IT Act, Consumer Protection Act, FSSAI, Drugs and Cosmetics Act, etc.)
State-specific regulations
Payment gateway terms of service
Popup's Terms and Conditions

Popup reserves the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, withhold funds, and report illegal activity to authorities without prior notice.
